Investigators uncovered a sophisticated structure involving the artisanal production of drugs in improvised residential laboratories lacking sanitary controls. The group used fraudulent labels with foreign names and flags to simulate international legitimacy. The network included professionals such as nutritionists, veterinarians, personal trainers, designers, and doctors. Authorities executed 43 arrest warrants and 64 search and seizure warrants, resulting in the blocking of over R$32 million in assets and the seizure of 25 luxury vehicles. Key figures arrested include Roberto Carlos Pereira de Carvalho, known as ‘Jiraiya’, who allegedly managed clandestine labs. The organization also utilized complex money laundering tactics involving shell companies, third-party accounts, and gambling platforms. Recent developments in the investigation confirm that the group produced hormonal substances, diuretics, and stimulants, often adulterated with veterinary medicines, posing severe health risks. The crackdown also led to the arrest of seven individuals who were fugitives in Paraguay.
