In late September 2026, several Brazilian authors released new or updated literary works. In Bahia, journalist Emiliano José launched ‘O dinheiro rebaixa todos os deuses do homem’, a collection of articles examining Karl Marx’s theories on economy and capitalism. Simultaneously, critic Décio Torres Cruz released an expanded second edition of ‘Histórias roubadas’ at the Academia de Letras da Bahia, which includes three new short stories and is undergoing international expansion. Other releases included Josimey Costa’s new edition of the experimental short story collection ‘Quase conto’, featuring visual and photographic interventions, and Fabrício Carpinejar’s ‘No Meu Tempo, Eu Era Melhor’, a work exploring generational nostalgia and the reclamation of analog experiences. Josimey Costa also released a new edition of the experimental short story collection ‘Quase conto’, published by EDUFRN. This version features a visual redesign incorporating graphic interventions by artists Rafael Sordi Campos and Lucca Medeiros, blending narratives with experimental photography and layout in both print and digital formats. Additionally, actress and writer Cida Mendes is scheduled to participate in the ‘Sempre Um Papo’ project in Paracatu to discuss her book ‘Fisolofias de Concessa’, published by Editora Ramalhete. The work consists of a collection of chronicles and poetry derived from her long-running character, Concessa.
