Various Brazilian municipalities are implementing maintenance schedules and regulatory restrictions in public cemeteries to prepare for All Souls' Day on November 2. In Jaraguá do Sul, authorities have set a deadline of October 23 for tomb construction and renovation to ensure debris removal. From October 24 to November 4, only burial-related services are permitted, and visiting hours have been extended starting October 29. The city has also issued warnings against using containers that could collect water and facilitate mosquito-borne diseases. In Colíder, a decree issued by Mayor Rodrigo Luiz Benassi suspends private construction, reconstruction, and painting from October 19 to November 3 to facilitate cleaning, though burials and minor emergency repairs remain allowed. In Óbidos, the Municipal Secretariat of Sanitation, Urbanism, and Infrastructure (SEURBI) mandated that all construction and painting at the São João Batista Cemetery be finished by October 25 to allow for general cleaning starting October 26. In Natal, the Municipal Secretariat of Urban Services (Semsur) has initiated weeding, tree pruning, lighting maintenance, and structural repairs across eight public cemeteries, including Bom Pastor I and II, with extended visiting hours from 7:00 to 18:00 on November 2. In Curitiba, the Department of Special Services requires cleaning to be completed by October 31, while small repairs like painting must be finished or paused by October 28 to accommodate up to 200,000 visitors. In Videira, the government is paving internal paths and improving access at the Jardim da Saudade cemetery, while advising residents to avoid leaving standing water in flower vases to prevent the spread of the Aedes aegypti mosquito. In Araçatuba, the municipal government has launched a revitalization project for the Cemitério da Saudade, a historic site founded in 1928.
