In late July 2026 Brazilian city governments began adopting new transparency measures for public health services. Together, these developments illustrate a broader pattern of Brazilian municipalities confronting SUS appointment backlogs, funding shortfalls, and efforts to improve data transparency to address chronic service gaps.
