Brazilian public service recruitment

Brazil is conducting a wide range of public service examinations across multiple government sectors. Initial announcements included large-scale recruitment for the IBGE, which authorized up to 27,330 temporary census takers for the 2027 Agricultural, Forestry, and Aquaculture Census. Other legislative and administrative openings were identified in the Chamber of Deputies and the Receita Federal, covering roles such as legislative analysts and tax auditors.

Following these administrative and legislative openings, recruitment efforts expanded into the public security sector. Over 2,100 positions were announced for candidates with high school education, including roles for the Military Police and Military Fire Department in Pernambuco, as well as municipal guard positions in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.

Recent developments show a significant increase in opportunities, with over 43,000 vacancies available across various regions and education levels, ranging from primary to higher education. Notable openings include 348 positions at the Curitiba City Hall, with salaries reaching up to R$ 38,087.99. Other major opportunities have been identified through the Civil Police of Amapá (396 vacancies) and the Public Defender's Office of São Paulo (70 vacancies). Additionally, specialized roles such as substitute judges are being offered in Amapá and Rio Grande do Sul.

Further legislative recruitment has been confirmed through the Chamber of Deputies, which has opened applications for 184 legislative analyst positions in Brasília. This process includes 66 immediate vacancies and 118 reserve list opportunities across 11 areas of expertise, such as Engineering, Museology, and Social Communication. The initial salary is set at R$ 32,070.88 for a 40-hour work week, with exams scheduled for January 17, 2027.
