Brazil is implementing various financial initiatives to support regional development and specific economic sectors.

Finep, an agency linked to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, announced a financing package designed to reduce regional inequalities by providing up to 100% project cost coverage for the North, Northeast, and Center-West regions. This initiative focuses on technological sovereignty, productivity, and high-impact innovation, including support for machinery and IT equipment. Additionally, the FIP Conexões Startups fund, a joint venture between BNDES and Finep, is seeking managers to oversee up to R$ 250 million in capital to support early-stage startups.

In a separate development, the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) launched the second cycle of its Bioinsumos program. This program offers R$ 40 million in non-reimbursable resources to support family farming, specifically targeting cooperatives and associations involved in food production and commercialization. The current cycle prioritizes proposals from the North and Northeast regions.
