In late July 2026, PT BRI Asuransi Indonesia (BRI Insurance) was named General Insurance Nation Market Leader for 2026 at a Jakarta ceremony, highlighting its financial performance, service quality, governance, and sector contribution. Managing Director Budi Legowo noted that the firm’s easy-claim process is part of an effort to build trust and secure livelihoods. During this period, BRI Insurance settled a flood-damage claim of Rp365,563,670 for the owner of Villa Yuli Homestay in Kuta, Central Lombok, under a Property All Risks policy. In early August, the insurer also settled a marine hull claim of Rp5.652 billion for PT Poetra Jaya Sukses Mandiri following the capsizing of the cargo vessel BG Audilia in Lampung. Concurrently, BRI Life focused on digital transformation and service expansion. The company inaugurated a renovated, omnichannel service office in Denpasar, Bali, to integrate physical and digital channels. BRI Life also received several accolades in July 2026, including the Top Digital Application Insurance award, the Indonesia Excellence Good Corporate Governance Award, and the Domestic Life Insurer of the Year at the Insurance Asia Awards in Singapore.
