British & Irish Lions Women rugby tour

Overview

The British & Irish Lions Women are preparing for their inaugural tour to New Zealand in September 2027. The tour will feature three Test matches against the Black Ferns in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch, as well as fixtures in Whangārei and Hamilton. Organizers have released ticket information, including promotional pricing to encourage accessibility for families.

As a precursor to the New Zealand tour, the team will play a historic match against France at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on 27 August 2027. This fixture, part of the Howden Lions Women’s Cup, is intended to introduce the squad to supporters in Ireland, Wales, England, and Scotland. Head coach Jo Yapp described the upcoming match against France as a “once-in-a-generation sporting moment.”
