Musician Bruce Dickinson has announced several developments regarding his solo career and professional activities. Initially, it was announced that a remixed reissue of his 1997 solo album, ‘Accident Of Birth’, would be released on October 23 via BMG Records. This version features tracks such as ‘Man Of Sorrows’ and ‘Darkside Of Aquarius’, remixed in stereo and Dolby Atmos by producer Brendan Duffey. Following this, Dickinson announced plans for a new solo album, which he characterized as being among the best work of his career and a step above his 2024 release, ‘The Mandrake Project’. This new material, described by Dickinson as “heavy as shit,” was recorded live in the studio in early 2026 at Studio 606 in Los Angeles and is scheduled for release in the first half of 2027. To promote the new album, Dickinson has announced his 2027 solo tour, titled ‘Psychogod’. The tour will consist of three legs, including summer 31 dates across Europe and autumn sessions the United Kingdom, beginning June 14, 2027, in Belfast and concluding December 10, 2027, in Paris. The first leg, running from June to early July, includes festival appearances at Rock Imperium in Spain, Rockharz in Germany, and a final run Masters of Rock in Czechia. A second leg will take place from November 10 to December 10, supported by the Swedish progressive metal band Evergrey. The tour will feature headline shows and festival appearances across Europe and the UK. Dickinson emphasized the importance of live musicianship over artificial intelligence, stating, “What we do is real and that’s so important right now. A real drummer, a real bass player, real guitarists, real keyboards – AI can only copy, it can only pretend. It can never be in love, and it can never play. This band? They can really play!” His solo band for the tour includes guitarists Chris Declercq and Philip Näslund, bassist Tanya O’Callaghan, keyboardist Mistheria, and drummer Dave Moreno. Additionally, Dickinson confirmed his retirement from commercial aviation due to international age limits, ending the ‘Ed Force One’ era.
