BTS has become the first musical group to surpass 10 billion annual streams on Spotify. This milestone, announced by BigHit Music, marks a significant increase from the 4.5 billion streams recorded the previous year. The achievement follows the group’s full comeback after completing mandatory military service, marked by the release of their fifth studio album, ‘ARIRANG’, in March 2026. The album has recorded over 5 billion streams, making it the most-streamed new album of the year on the platform, and has held the top position on the Billboard 200 for three consecutive weeks. This marks the first time a group has achieved such a feat on the Billboard 200 since Mumford & Sons in 2012. The title track, ‘SWIM’, recorded approximately 14 million streams on its release day, which was the highest daily total for any song in 2026. Additionally, the group has received recognition such as Artist of the Year at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards Japan and is currently engaged in a world tour, including recent performances at the National Stadium in Chile.
