The government of Buenos Aires Province has expanded its social support frameworks through municipal cooperation. Governor Axel Kicillof and Minister of Women and Diversity Estela Díaz met with various mayors to formalize the adhesion of several municipalities to the Program for Strengthening the Exit from Gender Violence. This initiative provides six months of direct economic support to women and LGBTIQ+ individuals experiencing proven gender-based violence. The program includes specialized services such as legal advice, mental health support, vocational training, labor integration, and housing assistance. Minister Díaz noted that local municipalities are often the first to receive reports of violence, necessitating these specialized tools for local governance. Local leaders, including Ituzaingó Mayor Pablo Descalzo, have emphasized that the program is designed to help victims build economic and social autonomy.
