The tenth edition of Bufala Fest is scheduled to take place in Naples at Piazza Municipio from September 2 to September 6, 2026. The festival is undergoing a strategic rebranding, adopting the new payoff ‘Tutte le forme del gusto’ (All forms of taste) to replace its previous slogan. This evolution aims to broaden the event's scope from a focus on mozzarella to a wider integration of the buffalo supply chain with the fishing and general agri-food sectors. Organized by Creaeventi in collaboration with the Consorzio di Tutela della Mozzarella di Bufala Campana DOP and Coldiretti Campania, the event emphasizes the importance of authenticity regarding Mozzarella di Bufala Campana DOP. Guidelines highlight that certified products must meet strict production standards within specific regions including Campania, Lazio, Puglia, and Molise. To prevent imitation, authentic DOP mozzarella must display five mandatory elements on its packaging, including the Consorzio di Tutela logo and the EU DOP symbol. Alongside the gastronomic festivities, Naples will host a contemporary art exhibition titled ‘Voce dell’Amore’ (Voice of Love) at the Maschio Angioino on September 4. Curated by Francesca Grisanti and Pasquale Lettieri, the exhibition explores themes of seduction, fusion, separation, and transformation, featuring a performance by French artist Orlan regarding identity and bodily transformation. This event is part of a broader series of cultural and gastronomic activities in the Campania region throughout September 2026, which also includes the third edition of Campania Wine on September 6 and 7, the ‘MANNight’ multisensory tours at the National Archaeological Museum of Naples, and the ‘Metamorfosi Campane’ performing arts series.
