Bulgaria’s U21 national football team has been officially eliminated from the Euro 2027 qualifying campaign following a 0-1 defeat against the Czech Republic in Hradec Králové. The decisive match in Group B was settled in the 55th minute by Lukas Masek. Although Bulgaria attempted to equalize, including a late header by Nikola Iliev, they were unable to overcome the deficit. The team’s efforts were further hampered in the final minutes when Todor Pavlov received a direct red card, leaving Bulgaria to finish the match with ten men. This loss leaves Bulgaria in third place in the group with 14 points, four points behind the Czech Republic, who have secured second place and qualification. Despite the elimination, Bulgarian coach Todor Yanchev praised the talent of his current generation.
