In July 2023, Volkan Karaçay was convicted for the murder of his wife, Bedriye Karaçay, in Istanbul. Following a missing-person report, investigators located Bedriye’s body in the Ayazağa forest after Karaçay strangled her and transported the corpse in a vehicle.
