Calif.io iPhone 18 Pro jailbreak demonstrations
Overview
Security firm Calif.io has demonstrated advanced jailbreak capabilities on the iPhone 18 Pro. At the Hexacon conference in Paris, the group showcased an untethered jailbreak on iOS 27.0.1. This exploit allows the device to maintain root access through a restart and passcode unlock, bypassing Apple’s signature verification, application sandboxing, and protected boot chain.
Following this, the group demonstrated a jailbreak that successfully bypasses Apple’s Lockdown Mode. In a social media video, the exploit was triggered by a malicious PDF file sent via AirDrop. The demonstration showed that the jailbreak remained active even after the device underwent an update to iOS 27.2, persisting through the software update process.
