The content cycle for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 began with Season 4 on June 4, 2026, introducing maps such as Liminal, Primetime, and a remastered Vertigo. A notable addition was the “Black Ops Classic” mode, which removed modern mechanics like omnimovement to replicate the Black Ops 2 style. Following positive player feedback, this mode became a permanent rotation during the Season 4 Reloaded update on June 25. This mid-season update also introduced the Zenith and Launch maps, the Kowakujō Zombies map, and a crossover featuring actor Nicolas Cage as a playable Operator. Season 5 launched on July 23, 2026, featuring the new Jubilee map, remastered versions of Dig and Frequency, and the Drone Labs point of interest in Warzone. The update included new weapons—the FG42, Gremlin SMG, Mammoth LMG, and Mace—alongside balance changes such as a nerf to the AN-94. On August 20, 2026, Season 5 Reloaded introduced the Rex Infernus Zombies map, the pinball-themed Turbo Tilt multiplayer map, and the Descent Free Run obstacle course. This reload also marked the final period for free access to the Endgame mode. On September 8, 2026, developers Activision announced that Season 06, titled “The Haunting,” is scheduled to launch around on September 17 or 18. Multiplayer updates include 17, 2026. This horror-themed update will introduce the Quantum and Bloodstead multiplayer maps, alongside the T. E. D. D. In Warzone, the Haven’s Hollow map will be transformed into the night-themed cosmic-horror-themed Haunted Hollow, featuring a Ghost Train and a “Giant Infected Mode.” Additionally, a DOOM Event Pass will allow players to unlock rewards like the Doom Slayer operator skin.
