The Campania Gourmet project is set to mark its 21st year of participation at the Merano WineFestival in November 2026. The initiative involves forty companies and three major wine consortia, including Sannio Consorzio Tutela Vini, VITICA, and Vites, to promote regional viticulture and strengthen international recognition of Campanian wines. The program features masterclasses focused on the evolution of indigenous white wines from areas such as Sannio, Irpinia, Vesuvio, Caserta, and Ischia, highlighting varieties like Falanghina, Fiano, Pallagrello Bianco, and Biancolella. In addition to wine tastings, the event includes the “Sfumature di Gusto” program, which features live culinary showcookings in the Gourmet Arena. This segment aims to showcase traditional and contemporary culinary expressions through collaborations with professional chefs and students from the G. Marconi Hotel School of Vairano Scalo. The showcase also facilitates B2B meetings to connect producers with international buyers, professionals, and journalists. The 35th edition of the Merano WineFestival, themed “Elegance and Beauty,” is scheduled for November 6 to 10, 2026, at the Kurhaus in Merano. This anniversary edition will feature over 700 exhibitors. Highlights include a ceremonial saber opening of 35 bottles on the Ponte Lenoir and specialized areas dedicated to organic, biodynamic, and no/low alcohol wines.
