The Canadian Forces Snowbirds scheduled aerial performances across British Columbia in August 2026. In Victoria, the 55th anniversary event on August 4 expected up to 30,000 spectators. Local authorities prepared for significant traffic delays and road closures along the Dallas Road waterfront, utilizing drones to monitor crowds. This performance was noted as potentially being one of the final appearances on Vancouver Island before the retirement of the CL-41 Tutor jets. Following the Victoria event, the Snowbirds scheduled a performance over White Rock on August 12. This appearance was expected to include a 45-minute aerial show and a CC-295 Kingfisher Search and Rescue aircraft. To manage safety, the City of White Rock implemented restrictions including the closure of the White Rock pier and a strict prohibition on the use of personal drones. On August 12, the White Rock performance is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. The city has advised water users to remain near the shoreline starting at 3 p.m. to ensure safety, while the pier closure remains scheduled for 2 p.m. This event coincides with television filming for the fourth season of the CBC series ‘Allegiance’ by Lark Productions. The production, which features actors in police uniforms, is filming near Johnston Road and Royal Avenue and is expected to cause temporary parking impacts on Johnston, Pacific, and Roper Avenues through mid-October.
