Cancer awareness runs in Hyderabad
Overview
Large-scale charity runs have been held in Hyderabad to promote cancer awareness and the importance of early detection.
In late September, the third Pink Power Run drew approximately 35,000 participants for various race distances, including a 21-km half marathon. Organized by the Sudha Reddy Foundation and the MEIL Foundation, the event featured notable attendees such as Telangana Minister D Anasuya, who emphasized that breast cancer is “completely curable if caught at an early stage.”
Following this, the 9th edition of the Quambiant Global Grace Cancer Run also attracted more than 35,000 runners to Gachibowli Stadium. This event, organized by the Grace Cancer Foundation under the theme ‘Run for Grace. Screen for Life,’ was notable for the participation of approximately 300 cancer survivors, described as the largest number of survivors to ever participate in a cancer run.
