The city of Canela is hosting various cultural and gastronomic programs. Musical performances, including acts such as DJ Alan Mino Mino, Big Hits, and Percussão do Samba, are being offered through the “Domingo na Estação” and “Temporada de Inverno” initiatives at Estação Campos de Canella. These programs also feature family-oriented activities, such as an art makeup station, a literary space for book exchanges, and the distribution of yerba mate. The Associação Comercial e Industrial de Canela (ACIC) has also announced organized the Sabores de Canela 2026 festival. The event will feature a central week from September 2 to September 7 at Praça João Corrêa, where 12 restaurants will provide exclusive street food recipes. This new format focuses on dishes that combine regional ingredients with contemporary techniques, such as salmon poke with bergamot tiger’s milk, serrano beef croissants, and wine-braised ribs. Savory dishes are priced at R$ 58.00, while sweets range between R$ 32.00 and R$ 38.00. The festival will operate daily from 11:00 to 22:00. The festival will extend through September 30 as a circuit across local establishments and will include culinary workshops and a “Chef Mirim” contest for students.
