Integration efforts are intensifying between the Argentine province of Jujuy and the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul regarding the development of the Capricorn Bioceanic Corridor. This corridor is intended to connect Brazil to Chilean ports through Argentina and Paraguay. Recent activities include a mission by female entrepreneurs from Mato Grosso do Sul to Jujuy to foster regional cooperation and business internationalization. In Jujuy, officials have highlighted the province’s strategic role as a central axis for the corridor. Collaborative discussions have expanded to include educational ties, such as language instruction, and a partnership with the University of Mato Grosso to study the effects of high-altitude hypoxia on cargo vehicle transit through the Paso de Jama. Building on these ties, a Sebrae/MS mission involving 11 female entrepreneurs traveled through Argentina—including Jujuy, Salta, and Buenos Aires—to prepare small businesses for the economic opportunities presented by the Bioceanic Route. This mission served as the conclusion of a pilot project designed to facilitate business internationalization. Strengthening these connections, the Jujuy Legislature recently hosted a business networking event to foster regional integration and the exchange of professional experiences. The event brought together female entrepreneurs and business leaders from Brazil with representatives from Jujuy’s private and productive sectors. During the encounter, Brazilian entrepreneurs toured regional landmarks, including the Quebrada de Humahuaca and local wineries, to deepen cultural exchange. The session was officially recognized with a declaration of legislative interest to support regional economic development. In a continued push for regional integration, business leaders are utilizing targeted missions and exchange programs. This includes a delegation of ten entrepreneurs from Santa Catarina, Brazil, who visited Paraguay as part of the Tech Saúde-Paraguay mission to explore healthcare technology opportunities and meet with the Paraguayan Industrial Union (UIP) and the Ministry of Health.
