One developed method, known as SHIFTERS, utilizes focused ultrasound to prompt tumor cells to display CD19 markers, potentially allowing CAR-T cells to recognize and attack tumors in the brain, liver, and lungs. In August 2026, CARsgen Therapeutics reported interim results for the first half of the year, noting that the NMPA approved satri-cel in June 2026.
