Simultaneously, Carrefour is expanding its drive-thru assortment to record levels, averaging 27,454 products per hypermarket. This strategy aims seeks to use product variety as a competitive differentiator, inspired by models like Walmart, supported by investments in more productive preparation tools. While Carrefour leads in assortment breadth, competitors such as Leclerc continue to maintain dominant market shares by prioritizing pricing and service rates.
