Surveillance incorporated drones and municipal cameras, while traffic restrictions barred heavy and hazardous‑material trucks and closed a four‑kilometre stretch between San Pedro and La Galera during peak walking hours. Health officials reiterated warnings about dehydration, exhaustion and gastrointestinal issues, recommending balanced meals, regular fluid intake and preparatory walks.
