The Government of Castilla-La Mancha has announced an investment of 502,390 euros to fund 22 humanitarian action projects spanning 11 countries. This initiative, released in observance of World Humanitarian Day, includes 15 projects from a regional emergency call totaling 427,390 euros, alongside seven projects supported by a 75,000 euro contribution through a collaboration with the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID). The projects target regions in Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America, including Palestine, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Mali, Niger, Uganda, Mozambique, Kenya, Senegal, El Salvador, Algeria, and Colombia. These efforts are designed to address food security, healthcare, child nutrition, refugee protection, and access to essential goods, with an estimated reach of over 162,000 people. Specific details regarding the AECID-linked funding indicate that the seven additional projects will support efforts in Venezuela following recent earthquake damage, as well as in Lebanon to assist those displaced by armed conflict. The total aid is estimated to reach over 162,000 beneficiaries, including approximately 83,000 women and girls.
