In response to broader healthcare needs, a new agreement between the Ministry of Health and the Obra Social de los Empleados Públicos (OSEP) was established to improve medication access. Starting September 1, OSEP will manage the purchase and distribution of drugs while the Ministry maintains financing. This initiative allows patients to collect medications at any pharmacy within the OSEP network, including in neighboring jurisdictions, to reduce travel and wait times. The program will initially prioritize high-cost biological medications for oncology and transplant patients.
