CD Numancia and Club Atlético Paso have commenced their 2026/2027 Segunda Federación campaigns. Atlético Paso opened the season at the Estadio Municipal in El Paso, where coach Maxi Barrera described the pre-season as “dura, pero necesaria” (hard, but necessary) while managing the integration of new players. Following their opener, CD Numancia prepared for their home debut at Los Pajaritos against Atlético de Madrid C. Manager Lolo Escobar described the squad as “still in construction,” emphasizing the need for cohesion to avoid errors. Administratively, the club reached over 3,500 season ticket holders, matching previous season totals through various pricing categories for families and younger fans. Numancia continued their strong start, entering their fifth match seeking a fourth victory to maintain their top position. The team has demonstrated significant defensive solidity, remaining unbeaten and having not conceded a goal in their first four matches. While goalkeeper Iván Martínez has emerged as a standout performer, the squad faces a need for improved offensive play and midfield control. Their upcoming fixture is against Getafe B, managed by Manu del Moral, who has had a difficult start to the campaign with only two points from four matches.
