Italian singer-songwriter Cesare Cremonini has announced his tenth studio album, ~~titled~~ ‘Amateur’, scheduled for release on October 23, 2026, via EMI/Universal Music. Recorded at Studio 13 in London, Cremonini emphasized that the project was written, performed, and recorded without the use of artificial intelligence to highlight human creativity. On September 17, Cremonini released ‘Paparazzi’, the first single from the upcoming album. The track represents a stylistic shift toward a ‘raw, adrenaline-fueled sound’ inspired by 1980s American rock and the London alternative music scene. To achieve this sound, Cremonini collaborated with international musicians including drummer Malcolm Catto, saxophonist Donny McCaslin, and guitarist/producer Paul Stacey, alongside longtime producers Alessandro Magnanini and Alessandro De Crescenzo. To support the release, Cremonini will launch the ‘Amatour – Live Indoor 2026’ tour. Before the Italian arena dates, he will perform a special preview concert at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London on October 20, 2026. Additionally, a ‘data zero’ pre-tour concert is scheduled for November 24, 2026, at the PalaPrometeo in Ancona, where he will perform songs from the new album for the first time. The Italian tour begins ~~in earnest on November 27, 2026,~~ with ~~dates~~ a residency at the Unipol Arena in Casalecchio (Bologna) on starting November ~~27, 28, and 30.~~ 27. Due to demand, Cremonini has added a seventh concert date to this Bologna leg, with performances running through December 6. The tour continues at the Inalpi Arena in Turin on December 9 and 10, and concludes at the Unipol Forum in Milan on December 15, 16, and 18. ~~Ticket pre-sales were scheduled to begin on September 7.~~
