Chainlink has introduced new technical solutions aimed at bridging institutional finance with decentralized finance (DeFi) and real-world assets (RWA). Initially, the company launched CustodySync, a tool designed to connect qualified custodians with DeFi lending markets. This allows institutional clients to use digital assets as collateral for loans while keeping the assets securely with a custodian. Anchorage Digital Bank serves as the launch partner for this initiative. Additionally, Abu Dhabi-based Further Asset Management is utilizing Chainlink’s Automated Compliance Engine to automate regulatory compliance checks for tokenized asset trades within the Abu Dhabi Global Market. Following this, Chainlink introduced Chainlink 24/7, a service providing continuous pricing for tokenized real-world assets, including equities and commodities, during weekends and market holidays. To generate prices when traditional exchanges are closed, the system utilizes data from multiple perpetual futures venues. This approach aims to support lending protocols, prediction markets, and perpetual futures platforms that require constant asset valuations for risk management and settlement. Aave has been identified as an early adopter and official launch partner, integrating integrated the Chainlink 24/7 price feed service into its Horizon institutional lending platform. This implementation allows for the continuous valuation of tokenized real-world assets, such as heavily traded U.S. equities, during weekends and market holidays. Aave founder and CEO Stani Kulechov stated that the integration enables the platform to manage tokenized reliably value RWA collateral when traditional markets are inactive. around the clock, enhancing the potential for institutional 24/7 lending by addressing gaps in liquidation mechanisms and risk management. Further expanding its institutional reach, Hanwha Investment & Securities has partnered with Chainlink to develop a global tokenization platform. This collaboration will utilize Chainlink’s data standards and Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) to facilitate asset transferability and liquidity across both public and private blockchains.
