Overview
The ninth edition of the international Champion’s Cup karate tournament was held at the University of Montenegro Sports and Cultural Center in Podgorica. Organized by the Karate Club Omladinac, the event featured approximately 700 to 800 competitors from Montenegro and surrounding regions participating in kata and kumite disciplines.
Following the competition, the Makpetrol Karate Club from Skopje reported securing six medals, consisting of three gold and three silver. Notable gold medalists included Jovana Mitovska, Vukasin Jovanovic, and Stefan Stojanovic. Coach Petar Zaborski described the tournament as a “vital control event” to assess technical readiness ahead of the World Karate League in Salzburg, Austria.
