Chanel has appointed British makeup artist Lucia Pieroni as its new Creative Makeup Director, effective September 2026. Pieroni will work with the brand’s Makeup Creation Studio and report to Simona Cattaneo, President of Fragrance & Beauty. Pieroni succeeds the Cometes Collective, a trio that collaborated with the maison from October 2022. Having worked with fashion artistic director Matthieu Blazy since his first collection in October 2025, her appointment formalizes her role in aligning beauty looks with the brand’s creative vision. Her professional background includes serving as Creative Director of Makeup for Clé de Peau Beauté from 2006 to 2019, as well as contributions to the visual identities of Prada, Celine, and Givenchy. Her artistic approach is noted for emphasizing individuality through the use of color, light, and skin texture.
