The Pigiama Run 2026 is a solidarity walk and run scheduled for September 18 at Parco Emanuela Loi in Terni. Organized by Lilt (Lega Italiana per la Lotta contro i Tumori) during Gold Ribbon Month, the event aims to support children with cancer and their families. Participants can choose between 3 km or 6 km routes. All proceeds from registrations and donations will fund three local projects in the Terni province: providing financial assistance to families for medical travel and accommodation, supporting the ‘I Pagliacci’ association in hospital accompaniment activities, and renovating the Pediatric Prehabilitation outpatient clinic at the Santa Maria Hospital in Terni to create a more welcoming environment. The seventh edition of this non-competitive initiative is expanding its scope, taking place across 35 Italian cities to raise funds for children and adolescents battling oncological diseases. Beyond the local Terni projects, the broader national initiative supports services such as psychological support, sports therapy, rehabilitation, and logistical aid for families traveling to specialized treatment centers. To highlight the impact of donations, the event features PIGI, an official teddy bear mascot created by Trudi, who is traveling across Italy. Participants are encouraged to wear pajamas to symbolically stand in solidarity with young patients, with awards available for the most creative or coordinated attire. Those unable to attend in person may participate via an ‘Anywhere’ mode.
