The system has begun refusing direct commands to imitate the specific voices of famous authors, whether living or deceased. Instead, it provides original text that incorporates requested literary qualities or atmospheres, serving as a technical workaround to avoid direct imitation of specific individuals.

Simultaneously, academic research has examined the effects of AI reliance on human cognition. A study involving over 1,200 participants from institutions such as MIT and Oxford suggests that ChatGPT use may weaken independent problem-solving skills. Researchers found that while AI assistance leads to high initial accuracy, performance declines sharply when the tool is removed. Lead researcher Brian Christian described a paradox where the technology may hinder skill development by removing ‘productive struggle’—the process of encountering difficulties necessary to build new knowledge.
