Chilean football governance continues to face significant instability as the country undergoes structural changes mandated by FIFA and the Professional Sports Corporations Law (SADP). This transition requires the separation of the National Association of Professional Football (ANFP) from the Chilean Football Federation (FFCH), with Pablo Milad managing the Federation on a provisional basis. Administrative tensions have escalated following the closure of the ANFP headquarters in Peñalolén. The municipality cited a lack of necessary building certifications and approximately $172 million CLP in unpaid municipal patents and sanitation fees. While the ANFP has challenged the closure as “arbitrary and disproportionate” and moved to remote work, the institutional crisis has extended to club affiliations.
