In Chile, concerns have been raised regarding the risk of thousands of children failing to reach adequate literacy levels. Experts emphasize that literacy development depends on early oral language skills, including vocabulary and comprehension, which must be established before formal schooling. The university provides a specialized diploma focused on skills and strategies for initial reading and writing, designed to help educators translate assessment data into effective classroom interventions.
