In Chile, regional authorities and the Ministry of Women and Gender Equality are conducting participatory dialogues to develop the Regional Gender Agenda 2026–2030. In the Ñuble region, a dialogue was held in San Carlos to gather input from women, entrepreneurs, and caregivers. The process focuses on topics such as female employment, maternity protection, care systems, and the prevention of gender-based violence to ensure public actions respond to rural and local realities. Following this, the initiative expanded to the Los Lagos region, where over 50 women from the Llanquihue province participated in discussions regarding economic autonomy, health, and work-life balance. Officials indicated that this decentralized, evidence-based model will be replicated in other provinces, including Osorno and Palena, to ensure the agenda reflects diverse regional needs. The participatory process has continued in the Los Ríos region, where a citizen dialogue was held to define priorities for the 2026–2030 agenda. Discussions in the Los Lagos region have also continued to establish the foundations for the regional gender agenda, specifically addressing economic autonomy, health, and caregiving.
