Various venues in Japan have announced holiday celebrations for the 2026 season. Risonare Shimonoseki, located overlooking the Kanmon Strait, will host its first ‘Kaikyo Christmas’ event from December 1 to December 25. The program features a 30-meter Christmas tree with projection mapping, emerald green illuminations, live musical performances, and family activities such as craft workshops. In Tokyo, AQUACITY Odaiba will hold the ‘AQUACITY Odaiba Christmas Party’ featuring the character Rilakkuma from November 13 to December 25. The event includes themed decorations, character greetings, a stamp rally, a collaboration cafe, and promotional campaigns offering limited-edition items. Additional hospitality and dining promotions have been announced for the season. In the Tokyo area, Grand Nikko Tokyo Bay Maihama will offer a ‘Christmas Afternoon Tea’ at Le Jardin on select weekends from November 13 to December 13. In Osaka, Aloft by Marriott Osaka Umeda is providing a ‘Holiday Bonus Stay’ plan starting December 24, which includes a 10% discount on breakfast-inclusive rates and 1,000 Marriott Bonvoy bonus points. Hotel Liber Osaka will also hold holiday dinner buffets and Santa Claus greetings at its Dining BRICKSIDE restaurant on December 24 and 25.
