Major Christmas singing events are being organized across Germany for the 2026 holiday season. In Frankfurt, the hr3 Weihnachtssingen is scheduled for December 19 at Deutsche Bank Park. The event, hosted by Tobi Kämmerer, will feature performances by the band The BossHoss and the StreetLIVE family, alongside hundreds of musicians from ‘The Grand Jam’ concert series. Attendees will have access to free lyric booklets, and ticket prices include public transportation. Separately, the broadcaster ARD has announced a primetime television event titled ‘O du fröhliche - Deutschland singt!’, set to air live on December ~~23.~~ 23 at 20:15. Centered at the Merkur Spiel-Arena in Düsseldorf, the broadcast will feature Sarah Connor and Jonas ~~Kaufmann.~~ Kaufmann, supported by a big band and various choirs from across Germany. The production intends to link multiple locations, including Rostock, to create a nationwide experience. ARD Program Director Christine Strobl noted the objective is to ‘connect people, create shared experiences and make a piece of cohesion visible and tangible’. Tickets for the Düsseldorf event are currently available, with early-bird pricing starting at 24.90 euros.
