The Citroën Aircross family continues its global expansion through new generations, diverse powertrains, and regional market adaptations. In Europe, the second-generation C5 Aircross has been launched on the STLA Medium platform, offering mild-hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric versions. The electric ë-C5 Aircross has demonstrated long-distance capability, placing third in a Baltic electric-vehicle endurance run. To expand the lineup, Citroën introduced a ë-C5 Aircross Long-Range variant with a 96.9 kWh battery providing up to 680 km of range, alongside a new “Collection” trim for the C3, C3 Aircross, and C4 models. Recent commercial performance shows significant growth in European markets. In Italy, August 2026 volumes increased by 7%, reaching a 3.6% market share, with the C3 ranking third in general sales. In Germany, the electric ë-C3 experienced a 900% year-on-year sales surge in July, securing a 16.5% segment share and becoming the top-selling B-segment electric vehicle for that month. To support budget-conscious consumers, the ë-C3 Tonic was showcased, featuring unique visual accents and connectivity options; in Germany, the Urban Range version starts at 20,450 euros. Looking toward 2027, Citroën has unveiled model year updates for the Basalt, C3, and Aircross. In Greece, the C3 Aircross Family is being positioned as an affordable 7-seater SUV, while in Brazil, the 2027 C3 lineup features a redesigned 10.25-inch Citroën Connect Touchscreen. Expanding its competitive reach in Europe, Citroën is positioning the C3 Aircross as a low-cost alternative to the Dacia Duster. The model features a 1.2 PureTech petrol engine and offers a seven-seat configuration starting from 21,467 euros, with entry-level ‘You’ trim pricing estimated between 17,000 and 18,540 euros. Future developments may include a new electric 2CV concept expected to debut at the 2026 Paris Motor Show.
