Citroën continues to advance its ‘Citroën Advanced Comfort’ philosophy, utilizing specialized suspensions, ergonomic seating, and acoustic insulation to reduce passenger load. The second-generation C5 Aircross, built on the Stellantis STLA Medium platform, serves as a primary application of this technology. The model features an ‘Aerodesign’ philosophy and ‘Cascade screen’ technology, alongside Advanced Comfort seats and progressive hydraulic shock absorbers. The electric ë-C5 Aircross is available in two configurations: the Autonomie Confort (73.7 kWh battery, up to 520 km WLTP range) and the Grande Autonomie (97 kWh battery, up to 680 km WLTP range). Recent developments include the introduction of the Emeraude edition, a limited version featuring unique emerald paint inspired by Brittany, premium interior materials, and the Drive Assist 2.0 package. The lineup has also expanded with the C5 Aircross MAX, which utilizes a 145-horsepower mild hybrid engine paired with an e-DCS6 dual-clutch transmission, though the model has faced some criticism regarding acceleration and engine performance. Global expansion remains a focus. In Chile, the brand is expanding its presence in the C-SUV segment with the introduction of the new C5 Aircross, manufactured at the Rennes plant in France. Cristian Fuentes, Brand Manager of Citroën Chile, stated the model represents the brand’s evolution toward “design with personality and useful technology to meet various mobility needs.” Further customization has emerged through a partnership with tuner Irmscher, which launched the ‘C5 Aircross Night Bronze’ limited edition. Restricted to 250 units and based on the Hybrid 145 Max, this special edition features a black and bronze aesthetic, lowered suspension, a rear spoiler, and custom 20-inch Hydra Star light-alloy wheels. While optimized for the hybrid variant, Citroën noted the styling could theoretically be applied to other models, including electric versions.
