Municipal initiatives in Ciudad Juárez have focused on social prevention and educational assistance for local families. The Municipal Public Security Secretariat (SSPM) implemented the ‘Valórate’ prevention program, which has reached over 200 students and parents. Through workshops on communication and social skills, the program utilized psychologists and social workers to improve parent-child interactions and promote healthy habits. Additionally, the Municipal Institute of Research and Planning (IMIP) coordinated the distribution of 1,897 backpacks to students across 10 educational institutions. This effort, spanning preschool, primary, and secondary levels, aims to support family economies by providing essential school materials. Expanding on these social efforts, the General Directorate of Social Development is organizing the ‘Cruzada por Juárez’ in the Independencia neighborhood. This initiative is designed to provide direct government services and identify specific community needs.
