In early September 2026, the city of Bydgoszcz launched an invitation to schools and kindergartens to participate in the ‘Clean Up the World 2026’ campaign. The initiative was designed to integrate practical waste collection with ecological education, with the city offering supplies such as gloves and bags to participating institutions. By mid-September, students across various regions of Poland actively engaged in the campaign. In Słupsk, students from Primary School No. 9 focused on cleaning school grounds, local parks, and lawns. In Racibórz County, secondary students gathered at Piast Castle for an event themed ‘SOS for water – let it be free of trash!’. Supported by Deputy Starosta Ewa Lewandowska, this effort aimed to highlight the necessity of protecting water resources and emphasized that environmental responsibility requires reducing waste production through daily choices. As the campaign continued into late September, additional regional activities emerged. In Bedlnie, the community of St. John Paul II Primary School organized a cleanup for World Cleanup Day, targeting school grounds, the town center, and the area surrounding a local pond to protect wildlife and water retention. In Kielce, the Voivodeship Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management hosted an ecological festival for children from the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, utilizing activities organized by local forestry and landscape park services to educate on climate change. Further initiatives expanded into waste repurposing and segregation. In Ostrowiec, the ‘EKO OSTROWIEC’ campaign conducted a ‘Trash-Art’ workshop at a local selective waste collection point, where residents practiced welding to repurpose discarded objects. Additionally, in Łojki, students from Kornel Makuszyński Primary School participated in the ‘Clean Up the World’ campaign by collecting and segregating waste near their school to promote environmental stewardship. In Busko, the Pedagogical Provincial Library in Kielce expanded the campaign’s reach through the Nasza Ziemia Foundation.
