Overview

Country comedian Cledus T. Judd released a parody song titled ‘Meet Her (Tribute to Ella)’, which was a rework of Ella Langley’s ‘Be Her’. The track and its accompanying music video, inspired by Langley’s work on CMT, were scheduled for release on all streaming platforms via StarVista Music on August 14.

Following the release, Judd announced that the song would be removed from all social media and streaming platforms. Judd stated on Facebook that Sony Music New York contacted his team to request the takedown. Despite the song accumulating over 5,000 YouTube views and 1,500 Spotify streams, Judd expressed shock at the decision but confirmed he would comply with the request to remove the content from iTunes and his own social media channels.
