The Cleveland Cavaliers announced they will hold their 2026-27 NBA training camp in Málaga, Spain, staying at The Embassy high-performance center in Fuengirola from September 30 to October 5. This move replaces the team’s previous two years of training at the IMG Academy in Florida and was influenced by team advisor José Calderón. As part of the camp, the team will host a public training session on October 4 at the José María Martín Carpena Sports Palace. This event marks the first time an NBA team has conducted preseason training in Spain. In collaboration with local authorities authorities, the Málaga City Council, and the Andalusian Basketball Federation, the organization plans to distribute 10,000 tickets to young players from local academies and clubs to observe professional routines. Specific ticket allocations have been noted, including 800 tickets for Fuengirola City Council Citizen Card holders, with applications opening on October 1. The training facility, The Embassy, was designed by former Spanish national team players José Manuel Calderón and Berni Rodríguez.
