Coahuila Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas has been actively promoting the state’s economic and industrial potential through various national and international platforms. Initially, Jiménez was recognized as one of Mexico’s 300 most influential leaders at a summit in Mexico City. During this event, he positioned Coahuila as a strategic industrial hub for the automotive and auto parts sectors, highlighting a 7.5 billion peso investment in security and intelligence to support North American supply chains. Building on these efforts, the Governor has expanded his focus to include tourism as a primary driver for job creation and economic development by 2027. He has highlighted the state’s ‘Pueblos Mágicos’ and religious tourism as key assets. Furthermore, Jiménez has engaged with business leaders from the United States and Canada at the North Capital Forum to attract new investment projects, while simultaneously addressing regional infrastructure and security concerns. More recently, Jiménez has continued to promote a state security model centered on intelligence and coordination to bolster economic competitiveness. In addition to his ongoing efforts to attract international investors from the U.S. and Canada, the Governor has expressed interest in a national political project that transcends party lines.
