College football results and upsets

In recent college football action, Notre Dame achieved a 49-10 victory over Purdue, marking their 11th consecutive win against the Boilermakers. Aneyas Williams contributed significantly to the win with 80 yards and a touchdown.

In a separate Big Ten matchup, the Wisconsin Badgers secured a 24-20 upset against No. 13 Penn State. Despite throwing three interceptions, Wisconsin quarterback Colton Joseph threw two touchdown passes to help secure the win. The victory moved Penn State out of the AP Top 25, while Penn State's offense struggled, managing only one touchdown on 13 drives.

Further details on the Wisconsin upset reveal it was a significant road comeback at Beaver Stadium, marking the Badgers' first ranked road victory since 2021 and their first win at that venue since 2003. After trailing 17-0, Wisconsin rallied behind defensive plays, including a pick-six, and a decisive 72-yard touchdown pass to tight end Jacob Harris in the final minutes. Head coach Luke Fickell emphasized the importance of the win while warning against complacency heading into Big Ten conference play. The loss ended Penn State's winning streak, with analysts noting the team's failure to convert defensive pressure into sacks.
