Collegiate cross country season progression

The collegiate cross country season progressed from regular season invitational meets to conference championships.

During the regular season, events such as the Princeton Fall Classic saw Elon University’s women’s team complete a sweep by defeating programs including Penn State, Boston College, and Princeton. In the men’s division at the same event, Syracuse claimed the overall team title, with William & Mary finishing as runner-up.

Following the regular season, various conference championships concluded. In the America East Championships, UMass Lowell won the men’s title, while Vermont secured the women’s championship. Notable individual performances included UMBC man Justin Banks, who earned a runner-up individual finish.

In the Landmark Conference, the Catholic University of America women’s team earned its third title in four years, led by Saffron Blume, who was named Rookie of the Year. Other championship outcomes included victories for Army West Point in the Patriot League, Iona in the Metro Championships, and NYU in the UAA championships. Additionally, in the OUA Championships, McMaster men won the team title, while the Windsor Lancers women earned silver with Samara Quanz taking individual gold.

Recent championship results include the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships, where Columbia women placed fifth, Dartmouth women finished seventh, and Yale men finished seventh. In the Liberty League, Union College women achieved a fifth-place finish, while Holy Cross women finished seventh in the Patriot League. In the UMAC Championship, the University of Northwestern men finished fourth.
