Collegiate tennis regional championships are underway in the United States. In the Central Region, the ITA Central Regional Championships are being held at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and the University of Memphis. The men’s tournament features Oklahoma State University with significant seeding, including Thomas Gadecki and Hank Trondson as the No. 2 doubles seeds, and Haydar Gokpinar as the No. 14 singles seed. The tournament provides players with opportunities to earn berths in the NCAA Individual Championships. In recent play, Memphis players Loan Lestir and Marko Milosavljevic reached the doubles semifinals, while Milosavljevic also reached the singles quarterfinals. The Omaha Mavericks have moved into the main draw following qualifying victories by several players. In the women’s division, the tournament is being hosted by the University of Memphis. Nebraska’s delegation includes Katie Spencer, Maria Taranova, and Conley Raidt in the main singles draw, with Emma Rizzetto, Reya Lee Coe, and Neda Rahimkhani in the qualifying draw. As competition progresses at the Leftwich Tennis Center, Kansas State has seen success; Sabrina Balderrama and Varya Bernovich advanced to the doubles quarterfinals, and Balderrama, Marta Leon, and Maralgoo Chogsomjav all recorded singles victories. Additionally, Oklahoma State’s Arina Malygina and Veronika Kliuch advanced to the singles Round of 32. In singles play, Nebraska’s Conley Raidt secured a victory over Claudia Gasparovic. Kansas State's Marta Leon also secured a spot in the ITA Central Sectionals through consecutive singles wins. Boise State's Allison Isaacs reached the semifinals, earning a bid to the ITA Sectional Championships in Los Angeles.
