Colombia earthquake: Woman rescued from rubble dies in hospital

Daniela Largo, a 32-year-old woman who gained national attention after being rescued from earthquake rubble in Pereira, has died in a hospital. Her rescue, which occurred after she was trapped for approximately 37 to 38 hours, had previously served as a symbol of hope for the country.

The 7.4 magnitude earthquake, described as the most powerful of the century in Colombia, has resulted in at least 294 deaths and nearly 4,000 injuries. The cities of Cali and Pereira have sustained the most significant damage. As rescue efforts continue, disaster relief agencies report that at least 320 people remain missing.
