The 2026 Colombian government offensive continued targeting dissident FARC factions, the Clan del Golfo and the ELN to dismantle armed networks and drug‑financing. In early June air strikes in Guaviare hit the “Iván Mordisco” faction; a highway raid in Ibagué‑Melgar captured a female commander. Mid‑June the Frente Cuatro attack in Las Camelias, Antioquia left three dead and kidnappings, while senior Clan commander Anderson Castro Repiso was seized in La Macarena. August saw a clandestine cocaine‑processing lab uncovered in Bocas de Uré, Córdoba, and a parallel raid in the Dominican Republic seized illegal alcohol‑production gear. July incidents included intimidation of journalist Norbey Valle David, a “revolution tax” imposed by FARC dissidents in Nariño, and army‑air strikes in Amalfi killing two Clan members and seizing chemicals for 70 t of cocaine. Mid‑July operations destroyed a cocaine lab in El Rosario, Nariño, and a Jericó raid killed two Clan militants. A UNODC report warned cocaine production had tripled, driven by profit‑focused armed groups. Early August clashes in Briceño, Antioquia between the Clan del Golfo and FARC dissident fronts left three dead and displaced civilians; drone‑borne explosives intensified fighting. On 4 August the army’s Force Task Hercules captured 18 ex‑FARC members in Nariño and, together with the navy and air force, destroyed an ELN‑run cocaine‑processing facility in Norte de Santander, seizing over 900 kg of cocaine.
